Job summary

Spectra Packaging Solutions in the United States is seeking an Extrusion Blow Moulding Technician to join a three-shift rotation (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am). The role supports the shift team, maintains process standards, and delivers high-quality plastic components. You will use engineering skills to troubleshoot, adjust, and optimize production while following ISO and safety guidelines. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Engineering or mechanical background required or desirable.
• Experience in plastics industry is helpful but not essential—training will be provided.
• Safety conscious with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned tool and colour changes on extrusion blow moulding machines.
• Fault finding and adjusting processes to keep components within specifications.
• Establish and maintain optimum processes.
• Follow company procedures and support the shift team.
• Ensure products meet set quality standards.
• Report machine or quality faults promptly to management.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the shift.
• Carry out other production tasks efficiently, complying with ISO and health & safety standards.

EXTRUSION BLOW MOULDING TECHNICIAN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Extrusion Blow Moulding Technician to work on a three-shift rotation basis – 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the shift team on a day-to-day basis whilst following company procedures and ensuring compliance with the quality standards set.

You will ensure that optimum processes are established and maintained whilst being able to demonstrate high levels of technical competence. This is an exciting and versatile role within the department.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Carry out planned tool and colour changes on extrusion blow moulding machines.
• Fault finding and making process adjustments as and when required to ensure components are within set specifications.
• Ensure optimum processes are established and maintained.
• Following company procedures, whilst supporting the shift team.
• Ensuring products meet with set quality standards.
• Report any machine or quality faults as soon as possible to management.
• Ensure that the work area is kept clean and tidy throughout the shift.
• To carry out all other production activities as efficiently as possible, adhering to the highest quality ISO and health & safety standards.

You Will Be

• Experienced within an engineering or mechanical background. (Experience within the plastics industry in a similar role is desirable although not essential as training will be given).
