Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Blend Plant Operator in Rocky Mount, VA for the 11PM-7AM shift. The role focuses on safely operating blending equipment, accurately handling ingredients, and maintaining production quality according to schedules.

You will record data, follow SOPs, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to address issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate blending, mixing, and related production equipment per SOPs.
• Measure and add raw materials accurately per production formulas.
• Monitor blending processes, temperatures, pressures, and batch times.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Record production data, batch records, and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements including PPE.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to report issues.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training.

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour, plus $2.50 per hour shift differential

Shift: 11PM-7AM - Sunday-Thursday

The Blend Plant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating blending equipment at the Extrusion facility in Rocky Mount, to manufacture lineal products according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This role ensures accurate ingredient handling, equipment operation, and adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate blending, mixing, and related production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Measure, weigh, and add raw materials and ingredients accurately based on production formulas.
• Monitor blending processes, temperatures, pressures, and batch times to ensure product quality.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Record production data, batch records, and quality checks accurately and completely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
• Follow all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to report equipment issues or product deviations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring materials as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
