Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Operator in Rocky Mount, VA. The role involves inspecting extruded products, ensuring consistency, and maintaining required documentation. You will operate packaging equipment and perform online quality checks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

No prior experience required; manufacturing and extrusion experience are highly preferred. 18+ years, ability to lift, stand long shifts, and follow safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Related machine operation experience
• Be able to stand and work on your feet for 12-hour shifts, and bend and lift
• Basic Math skills
• Ability to read English and quality test product
• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment to meet goals and quality standards
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to understand and follow safety policies
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Base Pay: $16 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Extrusion Operators visually inspects extruded product for consistent appearance and length according to defined standards.
• Associate ensures product consistency and standards including but not limited to proper counts, packing patterns, and labels
• Associate maintains paperwork as required
• Performs online quality inspections
• Operates packaging equipment
