Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is hiring for an on-site operator at our Westfield, MA facility. This role supports ISO and GMP food-safety practices and involves testing materials, ensuring material approvals, and maintaining production records.

The position offers a unique 4 on/4 off schedule, quarterly attendance bonuses, premium pay within shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401k, life and disability insurance, and wellness

Qualifications

Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
Nine to twelve months related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Make corrections for non-conforming material and notify operator.
Ensure raw materials have been approved for use.
Adhere to ISO and GMP food-safety practices.
Test and document substrate basis weight and appearance; retain samples.
Document raw material usage and production defects; maintain production chronology.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of unused raw material returns.
Set up resin blenders and maintain calibration of instruments.
Monitor and control the process when the operator is absent.
Set up and clean up machines; perform other duties as required.
