Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is hiring at our Westfield, MA facility. Join a safety‑minded, fast‑paced team offering a unique 4 on/4 off schedule (12‑hour shifts for 4 days, then 4 days off) with premium pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

As a line operator, you will handle packaging, labeling, and material movement, maintain cleanliness, and support machine setup and changeovers. A High School Diploma and solid math/reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good math and reading skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Make necessary corrections and notify operator for non-conforming material.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished product.
• Move material by hand, forklift, roll handler, and shuttle.
• Create internal packing lists for shipments.
• Monitor and control the production process when the operator is away.
• Ensure wrapping area is cleaned prior to wrapping rolls.
• Manage recycling racks.
• Set up and clean up the machine.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Tasks

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good math and reading skills required.
• Prior operation of same or similar equipment preferred
• Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, good math and mechanical skills, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
• Valid state issued driver’s license.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
• Self-confident, self-motivated individual who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
