Job summary

Amcor is hiring an Extrusion Assistant to support Coater and Blown Film extrusion operations. You will assist with machine setup, changeovers, production runs, and shutdowns while helping maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, the ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, basic math and computer skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture.
• Operate Coater and Blown Film machines when qualified and as needed.
• Order and maintain resin box inventory to support production needs.
• Package mill rolls and manage scrap materials efficiently.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Support 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including cross-training opportunities.
• Understand and support product safety requirements.
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned by leadership.

Pay: $25.96/hour

Shift Premium: $1.20/hour for nights

Additional Pay: 1.5x pay on Sundays and for hours worked over 40 per week

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (days and nights, rotating bi-weekly)


• 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 straight night schedule

About the Role

What You’ll Do

• Follow safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform climbing, crouching, and reaching tasks

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing experience


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
