Job summary

Mars Petcare in Lewisburg, Ohio, is seeking an Extruder Operator to safely operate and set up extrusion, drying, and coating equipment to meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and Mars quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and can work varying shifts. Strong math, reading and writing skills are required, with attention to food safety checks and good communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
• Willing and able to work varying shifts and schedules.
• Minimum of three years manufacturing experience.
• Good math, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up extrusion, drying, and coating equipment to meet daily production targets.
• Observe Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures.
• Operate and control extruders to meet food safety temperatures and gelatinization requirements.
• Complete food safety/quality checks and report any non-compliance.
• Monitor downtime, throughput, and food safety requirements.
• Read and follow daily production run schedule and execute accordingly.
• Communicate disruptions to production plan, quality issues, or material deficiencies.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment in milling/processing area.
