Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Extruder Operator- Line 5 to join our North American manufacturing team. You will set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines, reading verbal or written instructions and diagrams to produce parts within tight tolerances.

You will inspect finished products with precision tools, perform basic CNC programming, and help maintain equipment and a safe, efficient production environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability in a high-demand facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes.Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operationsand finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determinesand corrects more complex machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning.May make calculations as well as assist with numeric controlled programming.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Performs skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for set-up, calibration, andoperation of machines used in production processes.
• Precision tool & part making, and repair typically performed in a machine shop environment.
• Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tool programming.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) machine tool programming.
• Other duties as assigned
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to climb a ladder to an elevation of six feet above the ground level
• Lift up to 50 lb, from ground level up to shoulder level.
• Be on your feet up to 12 hours during the shift.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
