Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, part of CRH, is hiring an Extruder Operator for National Pipe & Plastics in a non-exempt, on-site role. You will monitor production, adjust extruders, log machine data, and ensure product quality.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, and colleagues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedule and count-sheets in the office for any special instructions or changes.
• Check and record machine speeds, regrind silo levels, and all other pertinent information on logs provided.
• Check color barrels and hoppers so they do not go empty.
• Make proper adjustments on extruders and associated equipment if necessary.
• Monitor extruder back pressure, amps, screw and feeder speeds to keep within limits.
• Monitor extruder heats zones and ventilation as needed.
• Check product appearance and make adjustments as necessary.
• Assist machine tenders in solving issues and producing a quality product.
• Other duties as needed.
