Job summary

Winchester Interconnect is seeking an Extruder Operator for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am) to set up, operate, and maintain extrusion equipment producing jacket insulation. You will ensure proper alignment of center cable to insulation, meet tolerances, and perform required tests while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read a micrometer, and the capacity to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and precision required for setting up and running extruders.

• Load, unwind, and manage pay-off reels in production.
• Familiarity with in-process test procedures and quality specs.
• Understanding of manufacturing specifications and process controls.
• Willingness to work required overtime and on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As an Extruder Operator on the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am) you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the extruding machines used in the manufacturing process. You will work to ensure the production of high-quality extruded products, specifically in the area of jacket insulation. The role requires operating the extruder at specified speeds, setting up the equipment, and ensuring the correct alignment of the center cable to insulation, while meeting required tolerances.
