Job summary

EAM-Mosca Corp., Hazle Township PA, a market leader in end-of-line packaging machinery, seeks a motivated Extruder Maintenance Technician (Nightshift) to join our service team.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems for extrusion equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, support preventative maintenance programs, and ensure safe, reliable operation with a focus on uptime and quality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year vocational school or commensurate experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Intermediate to advanced electrical knowledge and skills.
• Fundamental to applied knowledge of PLCs.
• Good communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Team oriented; able to work without direct supervision.
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot and address production issues with the operations team (mechanical/electrical).
• Repair electrical/control devices including drives, motors, sensors, and lights.
• Repair mechanical equipment and validate work through testing.
• Support the PM program to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Complete work orders timely and maintain records of work performed.
• Identify required parts, maintain inventories, and reorder as necessary.
• Gain knowledge of plant equipment operation.
• Assist engineers on daily priorities and special projects.
• Assist with line startups and equipment shutdowns as needed.
• Share knowledge with team and train new personnel.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and tools.

Summary:

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures:
• Troubleshoot and work with our operations team to address and resolve production issues bothmechanical/electrical
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or control devices including AC or DC drives, contactors, motors, breakers, solenoids, power supplies, sensors,and indicator lights.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to validate work performed.
• Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
• Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted and maintain complete records of work performed.
• Assist in identifying required parts, maintain current inventories and reorder parts as necessary.
• Complete standard work.
• Gain a working knowledge of plant equipment and how it operates.
• Assists production, process engineers, and project engineers in meeting daily priorities, coverage and special projects.
• Assist with equipment unexpected shutdowns, change overs and line startups.
• Share knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training new personnel.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping of maintenance shops and toolboxes.
• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum completion of (2) year vocational school or commensurate experience, preferred.
• Minimum (3) three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced electrical knowledge and skills.
• Fundamental to applied knowledge of PLCs.
• Good communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision.
• Maintenance Excellence experience preferred
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
