Job summary

EAM-Mosca Corp., Hazle Township PA, a leading provider of end-of-line packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, is seeking an Extruder Maintenance Technician (Nightshift).

The role focuses on promoting safety, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, repairing PLC-driven equipment, and supporting the preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime. Strong teamwork and hands-on maintenance skills are required.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year vocational school or commensurate experience preferred.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge at intermediate to advanced levels.
  • Fundamental to applied knowledge of PLCs.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintenance Excellence experience preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Able to lift 49 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and address production issues with operations (mechanical/electrical).
  • Repair electrical and control devices including AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and power supplies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery to validate work performed.
  • Support the Preventive Maintenance program to reduce downtime.
  • Complete all assigned work orders on time and maintain records.
  • Assist in identifying required parts and manage inventories.
  • Assist production, process engineers, and project engineers on priorities.
  • Assist with equipment startups, line changes, and shutdowns.
  • Share knowledge and train new personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary:
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures:
  • Troubleshoot and work with our operations team to address and resolve production issues bothmechanical/electrical
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or control devices including AC or DC drives, contactors, motors, breakers, solenoids, power supplies, sensors,and indicator lights.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to validate work performed.
  • Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
  • Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted and maintain complete records of work performed.
  • Assist in identifying required parts, maintain current inventories and reorder parts as necessary.
  • Complete standard work.
  • Gain a working knowledge of plant equipment and how it operates.
  • Assists production, process engineers, and project engineers in meeting daily priorities, coverage and special projects.
  • Assist with equipment unexpected shutdowns, change overs and line startups.
  • Share knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training new personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping of maintenance shops and toolboxes.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum completion of (2) year vocational school or commensurate experience, preferred.
  • Minimum (3) three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced electrical knowledge and skills.
  • Fundamental to applied knowledge of PLCs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision.
  • Maintenance Excellence experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
