Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products LLC is seeking an Extruder Operator Helper for our manufacturing plant to support material flow and production continuity. You will operate and troubleshoot material blending systems, monitor regrind usage, and coordinate with shifts to maintain safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining material flow, labeling reusable materials, and performing system maintenance while adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• Must have basic math skills and good communication abilities.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, standing or walking, in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot all material blending systems.
• Monitor regrind usage and adjust based on departmental goals.
• Maintain material flow to machines in your area.
• Identify and label materials for reuse.
• Maintain material hoses and replace when necessary.
• Clean material system filters, socks and canisters; tidy silo access rooms.
• Write work orders for items in need of repair.
• Maintain housekeeping in blender mezzanines, silo room, and related areas.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate across shifts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and policies.

NIGHT DAY ROTATING SHIFT HOURS12am - 12pm(12 Hour Shift)

Responsibilities

As an Extruder Operator Helper you will support safe and reliable material flow to production equipment by operating and troubleshooting material blending systems, maintaining material handling equipment and areas, monitoring regrind usage, and communicating production needs across shifts. The position contributes to production continuity, housekeeping, safety, material control, and equipment reliability within the assigned area.

Material Operations

• Responsible for operating and troubleshooting all material blending systems.
• Responsible for monitoring regrind usage and make adjustments based on departmental goals.
• Responsible for maintaining material flow to all machines within your area of responsibility.
• Identify and properly label all materials put into gaylords for later use.
• Maintain material hoses; replacing when necessary.

Material System Maintenance

• Responsible for cleaning all material system filters, socks and canisters.
• Clean silo access rooms.
• Write work orders for items in need of repair.

Housekeeping

• Maintain housekeeping of all blender mezzanines, silo room, compressor area and back aisle up to the railroad tracks.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete all required paperwork.
• Communicate with following shift and operators.

Safety

• Follow company safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

Education/Experience

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work 30’ off the ground.
• Must have the ability to lift 75 lbs occasionally as job demands.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization.
• Must have ability to work standing or walking, in a hot environment, for 12 hours with appropriate breaks.
