Job summary

DCM Inc. is seeking an Extraction Technician to support daily extraction activities, including equipment prep, monitoring, and waste disposal. The role supports a fast-paced lab environment and requires adherence to safety guidelines and cross-department collaboration.

You will work on-site, five days a week, with benefits including health, disability, and retirement options. The team emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a regulated cannabis operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must pass Federal and State criminal history background check
• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic computer skills
• General lab experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and plant materials for extraction.
• Monitor active equipment and report irregularities to the Extraction Manager.
• Operate machinery per safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of lab and extraction spaces.
• Assist with ethanol, hydrocarbon and solventless extraction.
• Perform general manual labor: lifting, loading, unloading.
• Assist in waste disposal following guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide operational support.
• Complete duties on time and handle additional tasks as assigned.

The shift for this role is Monday through Friday 7AM - 3:30PM

Extraction Technician

Our Extraction Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the day-to-day extraction activities, including but not limited to, packing material socks, operating extraction equipment, filtering cannabis oil, and disposing of waste at the direction of the Extraction Manager. The Extraction Technician will be responsible for maintaining adequate operational procedures and contributing to a support role to ensure seamless lab operation and increased efficiency.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Daily product preparation including preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
• Consistently monitor active equipment, perform minor repairs, and report equipment irregularities to Extraction Manager.
• Operates machinery in accordance with all operational and safety guidelines.
• Consistently maintain extraction equipment and laboratory spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory and extraction equipment.
• Take instructions and assist on all tasks assigned by the Extraction Manager.
• Assists with ethanol, hydrocarbon and solventless extraction.
• General manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Assists in the disposal of waste according to established guidelines.
• Work cohesively with various departments and provides operational support when deemed necessary and approved by management.
• Complete duties on time and willingness to accept additional job duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers about daily production output.
• Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• We ask that you have basic computer skills.
• We ask that you have general lab experience, but it is not required.

• We ask that you do not have allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; this position requires daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.
