Job summary

Trulieve is seeking an Extraction Team Lead to oversee the extraction and production operations in Midway, FL. You will drive process improvements, supervise a skilled team, and ensure safety and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role demands strong leadership, technical acumen in mechanical, electrical, and computer-operated systems, and hands-on experience with cannabis ethyl extraction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in chemistry or biology preferred.
• Knowledge of state/local laws.
• Experience handling hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with separations, isolations and fractionation.
• Knowledge of solvent and solvent-free extraction methods.
• Stay current of practices in cannabis extraction.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising accuracy.
• Ability to discern the quality of plant material and finished products.
• Strong computer and social skills.
• Cannabis knowledge including Ethyl extraction.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train new team members on extraction equipment and procedures.
• Ensure policy and procedure compliance across all processes within the department.
• Monitor employee attendance and performance.
• Oversee equipment cleaning and maintenance policies.
• Maintain inventory records of plant materials, chemicals, and equipment.
• Oversee process flow and resource allocation to meet demand.
• Operate, maintain, and repair extraction equipment.
• Maintain MSDS for all chemicals and products.
• Follow SOPs for product creation and lab safety.
• Coordinate with testing laboratory as defined by state guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
