Job summary

Nutrien is hiring for a Production Operator to support our plant operations in Osceola, AR. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and involves following procedures and quality checks to ensure products meet standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of forklift experience, with preference for manufacturing and chemical environment experience. On-site work with various packaging equipment and potential confined space training are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year forklift experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Prefer 3 years of experience in a chemical environment or 3 years of related experience.
• Prefer working knowledge in batch making process.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures and SOPs as written.
• Reviews formulation orders for accuracy both when receiving and after they've been completed; completes and signs off paperwork as required.
• Ensures products produced meet quality and production standards based on scheduled demands.
• Reviews production schedules daily and takes proactive measures to ensure completion; may modify the schedule or staffing as appropriate.
• Inspects production equipment to ensure operability and informs supervision of corrective actions to ensure scheduled products are formulated per the schedule.
• Open and close multiple valves daily.
• Operate load out pumps.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Operate packaging equipment (Box Taper, Filling & Lidding Machine, Stretch Wrapper, Glue Machine).
• May be trained to be part of a confined space entry team.
• Assist in other areas of the plant when needed.
