Responsibilities

  • Student Leadership Support – Support, encourage, and collaborate with student leaders to build positive, inclusive, and engaging campus experiences for all students.
  • Communication – Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, families, community members, and outside organizations regarding student activities and events.
  • Assemblies and Dances – Assist with the planning, setup, supervision, operation, and cleanup of campus assemblies, dances, and other major student events.
  • Fundraisers – Support and supervise Student Body fundraisers, helping students follow school and district fundraising procedures and manage activities.
  • Student Activities – Support and supervise student-planned lunchtime, before-school, and after-school activities that promote student involvement and positive school culture.
  • Field Trips – Assist with coordinating and supervising activity-based field trips, leadership events, conferences, and other off-campus student experiences.
  • School Spirit and Culture – Help student leaders develop activities that promote school spirit, belonging, positive student recognition, and participation across the entire student body.
  • Student Leadership Development – Mentor students in leadership skills, including organization, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, event planning, responsibility, and follow-through.
  • Event Planning and Logistics – Assist students and the Student Government Advisor with calendars, timelines, facility needs, equipment, purchasing, publicity, and other logistical details necessary for successful events.
  • Program Support and Supervision – Work collaboratively with the Student Government Advisor and school administration to provide appropriate supervision and support for Student Government activities and perform other related duties necessary for the successful operation of the program.
