Unitek Learning is seeking an Externship Coordinator with 3+ years of Medical Assisting experience to manage externship sites, placements, and outcomes. You will ensure compliance, documentation, and successful employment conversions after externships.

The role requires strong project management, relationship-building, and communication skills, with travel to sites as needed and evening availability on occasion.

Qualifications

• Licensed Medical Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of MA experience.
• Active MA license and ready for clinical and front/back-office support.
• Experience coordinating externships, site visits, and student placement.
• Background in healthcare workforce development or community outreach is a plus.
• Strong project management, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Secure, maintain, and expand externship sites with employers hiring graduates.
• Coordinate student placements to start with the externship module.
• Track attendance and hours to ensure timely graduation.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations of learning environments.
• Ensure immunizations and documents are complete before site placement.
• Collaborate with Career Services to align externships with employment outcomes.
• Maintain records per accreditation, regulatory requirements.
• Educate site supervisors and students on policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent student service and support retention.
• Represent the program with community partners and participate in outreach events.
