The Team

MassMutual Investment has developed partnerships with some of the world's largest asset managers and specialized investment boutiques. We are expanding our solutions in the wealth channel and seek a highly motivated individual to help drive our efforts.

The Impact

As an External Wholesaler, MM Investments, you will distribute our investment solutions, primarily open-ended funds sub-advised by Barings and Clinton Investment Management, into the wealth management space. You will promote MassMutual sub-advised funds across multiple financial intermediary channels, including wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, and RIAs.

The responsibilities include:

1. Increasing sales and growing territory AUM by engaging with financial advisors.
2. Providing marketing support and customer service to financial advisors.
3. Leveraging data and technology effectively.
4. Developing business strategies within the territory, including implementing business plans and identifying opportunities.
5. Representing MassMutual Investments at conferences and events.
6. Completing administrative tasks such as updating CRM and expense reporting.

The Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of external sales experience at a mutual fund distributor or asset management firm.
• 1+ years of experience with Morningstar Direct and Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80%.
• Bachelor’s Degree or a HS Diploma with 10+ years of relevant sales experience.
• Series 7 & 63 licenses.
• Located within the territory (NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC).

The Ideal Qualifications

• Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Established relationships with wirehouses, broker-dealers, and RIAs.
• Ability to understand client needs and market demand.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Compensation: $120k - $130k base salary plus sales incentives, totaling $390k - $400k.
