Job summary

Daifuku North America in Hobart, IN, is seeking a Manufacturing Associate on 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm) to load and unload parts from a continuous line, maintain an organized and safe work area, and support the team in achieving high productivity and quality.

You will follow work orders, perform basic quality checks, and use equipment like cranes, forklifts, and Big Joe as needed. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and full-time hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Ability to read and follow work orders and numerical instructions
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Team orientation
• Crane operation experience preferred but not required

ADA Requirements:

• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

• Visual: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Job Conditions:

• The worker is subject to: inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• The worker is subject to: hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
• The worker is required to: function in narrow aisles or passageways.
