Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an External Supply Manager to oversee supplier relationships within its manufacturing network. You will partner with Procurement, Quality, Planning, and site stakeholders to ensure supply, quality, and timely performance from 1–3 suppliers.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in supply chain or related functions; travel domestically and internationally is possible.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to manage supplier performance and priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with assigned 1-3 suppliers in support of AbbVie's objectives.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Planning, and site stakeholders to address supplier performance and issues.
• Maintain supplier KPIs, performance metrics, and action plans for assigned suppliers.
• Lead supplier business reviews and operational review meetings; track follow-up actions.
• Lead Assurance of Supply activities including forecast alignment and capacity planning.
• Manage routine supply, service, and quality escalations with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support due diligence, qualification, and implementation for new materials and change notices.
• Support cost improvement initiatives and supplier RFx processes.
