Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Senior Manager, External Manufacturing MSM Operations. This role is primarily based in Irvine, CA, with consideration for other US locations.

The position leads productivity, materials management, and supply continuity across the Surgical Vision external manufacturing network, collaborating across Plan, Make, Source, and Quality functions. The role requires deep end-to-end supply chain knowledge, strong cross-functional leadership, and experience

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a technical degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred. An advanced degree such as an MBA or MS is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry is required.
• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional programs and rapid response or issue resolution teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials supply management and productivity-focused team; set priorities and drive accountability for outcomes.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Lead supply chain productivity initiatives to deliver cost improvements across the external manufacturing network.
• Partner with Plan, Source, Make, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and External Manufacturing to execute cost improvement projects.
• Manage external manufacturing raw material supply network to ensure continuity and alignment with demand.
• Drive governance and issue resolution for material constraints and inventory risks.
• Identify and mitigate end-to-end supply chain risks; lead cross-functional escalation for disruption mitigation.
• Support PMO activities for strategic supply chain projects and governance updates.
