The Security Ambassador is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and company assets while providing excellent customer service. The focus shall always be on creating a safe and comfortable environment with a positive can-do attitude, emphasizing the highest level of guest service for both external and internal guests of Live! Casino & Hotel.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a smile and a warm welcome.
- Check IDs of guests entering the casino and hotels; refuse entry to persons under 21 or those without proper authorization, or carrying prohibited items.
- Explain the rules, regulations, and code of conduct for the casino and hotels.
- Interact professionally with the public when providing assistance, directions, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist with customer disputes, intoxicated individuals, criminal matters, and traffic control.
- Resolve complaints within scope of authority or refer to management.
- Report unusual events, incidents, or crimes to supervisors or management.
- Respond to medical or fire emergencies involving guests.
- Operate the Security Dispatch Office, communicating via radio and telephone as needed.
- Monitor access points, maintain visitor and vendor logs.
- Control traffic in valet and parking areas.
- Investigate and report injuries.
- React to incidents and accidents involving guests and team members.
- Assist in transporting money, chips, tokens, and markers.
- Identify and report safety hazards.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-2 years of security experience with guest service focus preferred.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
- Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory bodies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
- Perform physical activities like running, stooping, bending, reaching.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to ride a bicycle and operate vehicles like Segways.
