Responsible for properly preparing and cooking all food items in a safe, timely, organized manner maintaining high quality of foods and demonstrating professionalism that reflects our company values. Ensures guests have a favorable dining experience.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes or instructions provided.
  • Train new hires and instruct staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef or Chef D’Cuisine to ensure overall success of the kitchen and restaurant.
  • Ensure stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business for the day, assisting fellow staff when needed.
  • Validate all stations (including Prep).
  • Perform daily cleaning duties efficiently following sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure employee safety.
  • Work under supervision of culinary management team.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Occasionally interact directly with guests.
  • Adhere to company and department appearance standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism reflecting our brand and values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

  • Use all kitchen equipment and appliances effectively.
  • Read and write basic instructions. Know PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Be creative with cooking and food preparation.
  • Read and interpret production lists, menus, and Banquet event orders.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Follow sanitation and health regulations for safe food handling.
Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Culinary arts courses or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of continuous experience as a restaurant line cook.
  • Ability to secure and maintain required licensure as per regulations or company standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods without sitting or leaning.
  • Bend, stoop, reach while carrying items up to 50 pounds.
  • Lift and carry food items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work around 500-degree ovens and within 40-degree refrigerators.
  • Stand and walk throughout a 10-hour shift.
