Peraton in Jessup, MD is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to support a major Intelligence Community contract. The role focuses on Windows and Linux server administration, container-based applications, and patch management at a customer site.

This position requires DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher and an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. A technical degree plus ten years of SA experience are expected, with five extra years substituting for the degree.

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

As a Senior Systems Administrator on our team, you will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities including managing container-based applications and administering servers including performing patch management and supporting upgrades of customer systems. This is primarily a Windows environment, though Linux is also used. #AJCM #MDFSP

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or universityand ten(10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Additional Domain Experience:
  • Computer Network Operations - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • Information Assurance - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.
• Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
• Configure and manage Windows, Linux and container-based operating systems and installs/loads operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
