Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Analytic Methodologist at Fort Meade, MD to help USCYBERCOM J2 build and advance analytic strategies that align the Defense Intelligence Enterprise for Cyber (DIE-C).

The role sits at the intersection of methodology, strategy, and intelligence integration, turning strategic intent into actionable analytic approaches while guiding synchronization across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Minimum 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD
  • Working knowledge of analytic methodology development, DIE frameworks, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
  • Ability to produce timely, logical analytic reports and strategy documents in MS Office formats
  • Proficiency evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources using structured analytic techniques
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations across disciplines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain complex concepts to senior leadership

  • Support development of analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence mission-driven requirements
  • Deconstruct key intelligence questions and recommend analytic methodologies
  • Develop data schemas to structure observations and support data visualization
  • Provide support in developing the intelligence support framework for DIE-C
  • Shape and promote J2 synchronization across strategic, operational, and tactical levels
  • Plan and support the long-term growth strategy for DIE-C
  • Identify and deconflict processes to mature DIE-C
  • Collaborate with IC counterparts to advance analytic methodology across the enterprise
  • Author and maintain Operating Instructions for command-wide programs

The Defense Intelligence Enterprise doesn't synchronize itself. Peraton is looking for anAnalytic Methodologistto helpUSCYBERCOM J2build, shape, and advance the analytic strategies that keep the Defense Intelligence Enterprise for Cyber (DIE-C) aligned and effective at Fort Meade, MD.

In this role, you'll work at the intersection of methodology, strategy, and intelligence integration — deconstructing complex key intelligence questions, developing the frameworks that structure how the command approaches them, and ensuring J2's analytic efforts remain synchronized across strategic, operational, and tactical levels. This is a senior, conceptually demanding role for professionals who can operate comfortably with ambiguity, think in systems, and translate strategic intent into actionable analytic approaches.

What You'll Do
  • Support development of analytic strategies to resolveDefense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE)key intelligence mission-driven requirements
  • Work with ambiguous information to deconstruct key intelligence questions and recommend appropriate analytic methodologies
  • Develop data schemas to structure observations and support visualization of applicable data
  • Provide support in developing the intelligence support framework for theDefense Intelligence Enterprise for Cyber (DIE-C)
  • Shape and promote J2 synchronization and integration acrossstrategic, operational, and tactical levels
  • Plan, guide, coordinate, and support execution of the long-term growth strategy for DIE-C
  • Identify, coordinate, and deconflict processes to support the maturation of DIE-C
  • Support all Foreign Materiel acquisition, exploitation, and programs
  • Collaborate with IC counterparts and USCYBERCOM staff to advance analytic methodology across the enterprise
  • Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives

Required:

  • ActiveTop Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph
  • Minimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD
  • Working knowledge of analytic methodology development, DIE frameworks, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and strategy documents in Microsoft Office formats
  • Proficiency evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information using structured analytic techniques
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations across disciplines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — including the ability to communicate complex methodological concepts to senior leadership

Preferred:

  • Background in analytic methodology development, structured analytic techniques, or intelligence strategy
  • Experience withDefense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE)frameworks and synchronization processes
  • Familiarity withForeign Materiel Exploitation (FME)programs and acquisition processes
  • Experience withIntellipedia, Palantir, or other IC analytic platforms
  • Knowledge ofDIE-Cyber (DIE-C)maturation processes and cyber intelligence integration
  • 12+ yearsof relevant experience, including work within the last 2 years
  • Master's degreein a related field —or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (17 years total)
  • Demonstrated experience in Foreign Materiel acquisition or exploitation

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
