External Field Trials Technician

Location:

Lisboa, PT

Ascenza is the crop Protection branch, a benchmark independent player in the off-patented South-European, Brazilian and Mexican markets, with a leading position in Iberia.

Mission:

• Collaborate in implementing the field trials program by contacting trialing companies, processing all documentation related with contracting and payments & ensuring the delivery of trials reports by companies on time and to the desired quality.

Responsibilities:

• Contact agronomical trials companies (CROs) to contract efficacy trials, ensuring delivery of data at the specified time and to the desired quality; (reserve slots, request quotations, provide protocols, send contracts, allocate trials according to plan, manage samples distribution, request data updates and manage invoices in SAP)
• Review of ARM reports provided by the CRO, ensuring that data is reported with the quality required by ASCENZA. Each trial will be evaluated and scored according to a set of predefined criteria.
• Upload current and legacy ARM reports to global data base.
• Prepare data summaries from trials data. For any given dataset, this involves gathering data from several trial reports, organize it, sort it and prepare summary data tables and charts.

The talent we are looking for:

• Available for a fixed-term contract.
• Degree in Agricultural or Agronomical Eng.;
• Professional experience (preferred, but not required) of field trials spraying and assessment;
• Understanding of agronomical practices and constrains;
• Expertise in the life cycle and identification of pests, diseases and weeds;
• knowledge of EPPO Standards; (preferred, but not required)
• Knowing in detail the Good Experimental Practice certification regulations; (preferred, but not required)
• Skilled in ARM program; (preferred, but not required)
• Statistics applied to agronomical trials;
• Fluent in English is a must have. Spanish is a plus;
• Skilled in MS Office tools, Excel is a must have, Word and Power Point;
• SAP experience is a plus
