Job summary

Plains is seeking an External Corrosion Supervisor to lead the external corrosion program for pipelines, tanks, terminals and facilities. The role includes oversight of cathodic protection, coating systems, corrosion surveys, and regulatory compliance, while coordinating with Operations, Engineering, and Integrity teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in external corrosion, leadership experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of external corrosion-related work experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, or project management experience preferred.
• Experience with hazardous liquid and/or natural gas pipeline systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual external corrosion work plans, priorities, budgets, forecasts, and capital recommendations.
• Direct cathodic protection monitoring, surveys, rectifier inspections, and system troubleshooting.
• Oversee coating inspection, surface preparation, application, and quality control.
• Provide technical guidance for corrosion anomalies, investigations, and remediation.
• Ensure accurate corrosion records and regulatory compliance documentation.
