Job summary

EDAG is seeking a BODY EXTERIOR TEST & VALIDATION ENGINEER in Novi, Michigan to own complete vehicle validation for exterior systems. You will define validation strategies, establish routes, and lead campaigns across proving grounds and public roads to ensure quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of full-vehicle testing experience, hands-on CANoe/INCA usage, and strong knowledge of ALM tools, with English proficiency at C1-C2. This is a 1-year contract role located in Novi, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Human Factors/HCI, Software Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in whole vehicle validation and verification testing
• Hands-on experience with CANoe, INCA, and validation instrumentation
• Experience defining whole vehicle test plans (DVP) and tracking build/software changes
• Knowledge of ALM/product tracking tools: Jama, Polarion, DOORS, MagicDraw, CodeBeamer
• Solid understanding of whole vehicle development phases and automotive safety standards
• English (C1-C2) proficiency
• 1 year contract
• Location: Novi, Michigan

Responsibilities

• Own whole-vehicle validation for body exterior systems like closures, sealing, water management
• Define validation strategies for extreme conditions and high-mileage durability
• Establish validation routes and test profiles for doors, glazing, lighting, and wiper systems
• Develop vehicle-level test cases and translate targets into procedures and validation plans
• Lead validation campaigns and data collection on proving grounds and public roads
• Ensure traceability and document results using relevant tools
• Collaborate with Body Exterior, Closures, Sealing, Lighting, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Vehicle teams
