Job summary

EPITEC seeks an Exterior Systems Design & Release (D&R) Engineer in Dearborn, MI on a hybrid, W2 contract. You will lead the design, development, validation, and release of exterior vehicle components such as bumpers, fascias, grilles, AGS, and underbody shields.

The role requires a bachelor's in an engineering field and at least 3 years in automotive exterior systems, with proficiency in CATIA, Teamcenter, 3DX, and CAD modeling; strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics).
• Minimum 3 years of automotive exterior systems development experience.
• Experience with automotive D&R engineering and exterior components.
• Proficiency with CATIA, Teamcenter, 3DX, and CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and release of exterior vehicle system components.
• Manage bumper, fascia, grille, AGS, battery tray, wheel arch liner, and underbody shield development.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and corporate design standards.
• Drive quality, cost, weight reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop ESOWs and Engineering Concepts (EC).
• Release and maintain parts using BOM tools, WERS, and change control.
