General Motors (GM) Exterior Team is seeking a Release Engineer to design, engineer, and release BGFT exterior subsystems for key GM programs. You will collaborate with designers, studios, suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet programs on time with robust design solutions.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 5+ years in release engineering or related vehicle development. Hybrid work at Warren Tech Center is expected, with on-site presence a few days per week to align with program

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required.
• Experience in vehicle development cycles.
• Green Belt or Black Belt DFSS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, engineer, and release BGFT exterior subsystems.
• Lead or support cross-functional Product Development Teams for components.
• Create ICDs and supporting documentation; ensure design fidelity and best practices.
• Support launch activities with assembly plants and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical reviews to ensure quality.
