Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT in New Braunfels, TX. The role involves operating heavy machinery, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA/EPA guidelines, and coordinating third-party providers for outdoor maintenance and events.

You’ll develop budgets, manage purchases, and support facility upgrades while keeping costs in check and maintaining a safe, clean environment for associates and customers.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving within the last three years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations in the last three years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No preventable accidents in the last three years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and vehicles per safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations and Walmart exterior service guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate third-party providers, conduct evaluations, and pursue quality improvements.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and manage purchases for parts and services.
• Assist with event support, customer service, and resolving facility issues.
• Source equipment, manage stock, and ensure repairs meet safety standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for associates and customers.
