Job summary

The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services at Walmart is responsible for managing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe and sustainable facility environments. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing third-party providers, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The position requires technical expertise in equipment operation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance, alongside effective communication with facility users and leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 years' landscaping/gardening experience required.
• Valid state-issued driver's license required.
• Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience managing third-party providers.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• State/local licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize exterior facility projects.
• Prepare and execute budgets, approve purchases, verify materials.
• Provide technical guidance for sourcing and procurement.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow, ice, landscaping.
• Operate heavy machinery and vehicles safely.
• Lead third-party providers and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.
• Identify facility improvements to reduce operating costs.
