Job summary

Building Products Inc. is seeking an Exterior Door Shop Associate in Sioux Falls, SD to build and assemble exterior door systems at our Millwork facility.

This hands-on role involves applying insulation, caulk, weatherstripping, and packaging finished units according to customer specifications. You will operate hand and power tools, learn CNC equipment, and maintain quality through inspection while following safety procedures and production schedules.

• Read a standard tape measure accurately.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and power machinery.
• Willingness to learn new machinery and production processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Dependable, self-motivated and proactive.
• Able to communicate and work in a team.
• Follow safety procedures, production instructions, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and customize exterior door units per production requirements and customer specs.
• Install insulation and caulk between frame components.
• Mark hinge locations and attach hinges with appropriate tools.
• Attach metal panels to doorframes with hand tools or rivet gun.
• Install weatherstripping; package completed door units for delivery.
• Operate production equipment including door lite cutter and CNC machinery.
• Inspect work to maintain quality standards and follow production schedules.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; wear required PPE.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals.
