Job summary

Building Products Inc. (BPI) is seeking an Exterior Door Shop Associate to join our Sioux Falls Millwork facility. You will build, assemble, and customize exterior door units according to production requirements and customer specifications, using various materials and tools to ensure quality results.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. You’ll follow production schedules, operate power tools and CNC machinery, and contribute to delivering finished doors that meet BPI’s

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Willingness and ability to learn new machinery and production processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to take a proactive approach to assigned work.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, production instructions, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and customize exterior door units per specs.
• Install insulation and caulk between frame components.
• Mark hinge locations and attach hinges with tools.
• Attach metal panels to doorframes with hand tools or rivet gun.
• Install weatherstripping as needed.
• Package completed doors securely for delivery.
• Operate power tools and CNC machinery; learn production equipment.
• Inspect work to maintain quality standards.
• Follow production schedules and maintain steady pace.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
