ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced Exterior Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. You will own the design and release of exterior components and structures, collaborate with suppliers, and drive affordable, high-performance solutions.

A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of vehicle design experience are required, with strong communication skills and FMVSS familiarity. This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a leading engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
8+ years of vehicle design experience in interior and/or exterior trim.
Knowledge of design considerations for plastic/composite components.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements for exterior components.
Ability and desire to work in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design and development of exterior components and assemblies.
Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet project requirements.
Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
Manage all aspects of exterior component development including performance, cost, mass, timing, and manufacturability.
