Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in weed science or related fields.
• Experience in extension is desirable; strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain extramural funding to support a vigorous research program.
• Ability to convey scientific findings to extension agents, producers, crop consultants and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement extension weed science programs for central and eastern Kentucky.
• Conduct field and greenhouse research on weed management in forages, pastures, and perennial crops.
• Oversee roadside vegetation management program with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
• Advise graduate students and participate in instruction as needed.
