Title: Extended School Care Group Supervisor

Reports To: Extended School Care Site Director

Takes Direction From: Extended School Care Assistant Coordinator

Schedule/Calendar: 6 hours per day - 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Salary: $26.31/hr.

Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times, and supervising the Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors.

Essential Functions:

• A Group Supervisor is responsible for planning, preparing and implementation of daily program activities for their assigned group.
• Oversees the safety and location of all children in the group at all times.
• Ensures proper clean-up and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily.
• Supervises Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors.
• Follows all PA Department of Human Services child care guidelines.
  
  

Education Required:

• A bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field (Documented experience working with children preferred.) or an associate’s degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field and three years of documented experience working with children.
  
  

Certifications:

• Pediatric First Aid and CPR will be required upon hire.
