Extended School Care Assistant Group Supervisor/Leader 25-26 SY - multiple positions available; open until filled

Position Details
  • Reports To: Extended School Care Site Director
  • Schedule: 6 hours/day (7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
  • Salary: $22.51/hr
Position Summary

This role involves planning and implementing daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, supervising children, and overseeing staff in the absence of a Site Director.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of toys, materials, and equipment
  • Support and adhere to program philosophy and policies
  • Engage actively with children and encourage participation
  • Provide sensitive and patient care tailored to each child's needs
  • Report personnel or program issues to the site director
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents
  • Ensure compliance with PA State Department of Human Services and Keystone Star Standards
  • Supervise staff including Assistant Group Supervisors and Program Assistants
  • Attend 12 hours of annual training plus 1 hour of fire safety training
  • Complete accident reports as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 30 college credits in education or human services OR 15 credits plus 2 years of experience with children
  • 1 year experience with children
  • CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification required upon hire
Physical Requirements

The job is classified as Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, with physical exertion requirements detailed in the job description.
