Job summary
Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) offers a twelve-month postdoctoral fellowship at USAISR, Joint Base San Antonio, to advance medical clinical decision support systems using extended reality. You will join a cross-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers on multiple projects spanning software engineering, usability evaluation, and visualization for immersive clinical guidance.

Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field and eligible discipline
- Veterans with PhD within last 60 months are eligible
- Experience in clinical decision support applications research preferred
- Experience in medical software research and simulations
- Knowledge of XR hardware platforms (HoloLens, Quest, Vive) beneficial
Responsibilities
- Conduct human subject research on software usability and clinical performance testing.
- Develop research experiments for software application testing.
- Create scenarios for medical and field testing.
- Plan and execute research studies and projects.
- Develop project proposals and disseminate findings in journals and conferences.
- Document results and technical processes in detailed reports.
