    Salary Range :
    Level 3 Step 1 Per Para Educator Contract: $20.61 (Current hourly para rate of pay if employed with ISD 624.)
    *Contract under negotiation

    Closing Date:Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.

    Start Date:
    First day of programming September 4, 2024
    Set-up and training the week of August 26, 2024 - August 30, 2024

    Work Week:
    We are looking for paraprofessionals to support our students with special needs who will be attending the Extended Day programs. Our programs are open before and after school weekdays from September through June. This position has a variety of schedules available.

    Position Summary:
    The Extended Day programs provide enrichment opportunities for youth with diverse interests, talents, and perspectives. This position performs intermediate human support work by supporting students with special needs individually and in small or larger groups. Responsibilities also include encouraging and modeling appropriate student conduct, speech, attire, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Site Supervisor.

    Education and /or Experience:
    High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children. Associates/Technical degree preferred.

    Special Requirements:
    Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test.
    Valid driver's license.
    Certified in First Aid/CPR upon hire.
    Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire.
    Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention upon hire.
    Department of Human Services training upon hire.
