Real Life Christian Academy seeks an Extended Care Staff Member for the 2025–2026 school year. This role involves supervising children in a nurturing before-and-after-school environment, supporting their academic efforts, and reflecting the school's values while interacting with students. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a love for children and a commitment to Christian values.
Real Life Christian Academy (RLCA) is a Christ-centered PreK–12 school committed to raising up the next generation of spiritually grounded, academically prepared, and character-driven leaders.
As a ministry of Real Life Christian Church, we partner with families to help students stand firm in their faith and live with purpose. RLCA provides a supportive, team-oriented environment where staff grow professionally and spiritually while guiding students in a faith-filled community.
We are seeking a caring and dependable Extended Care Staff Member for the 2025–2026 school year.
This position plays a key role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for students during before- and after-school care. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children, be comfortable leading activities, and reflect the heart of Christ in their daily interactions.
Supervise and engage students in games, crafts, and structured activities
Assist students with reading and homework
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
Follow sign-in and sign-out procedures using laptops or tablets
Communicate with staff using handheld radios
Prepare and clean up daily snacks
Resolve student conflicts calmly and respectfully
Enforce school rules and safety procedures at all times
Maintain confidentiality and model RLCA’s values
Support team goals and help with additional tasks as needed
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
High school diploma or equivalent
A love for working with school-aged children
Ability to use basic technology (laptop, tablet, walkie-talkie)
Clear Level II background check
Willingness to obtain CPR certification (if not already certified)
Alignment with RLCA’s mission and core values
Experience working in childcare, education, or a similar setting
Friendly, team-oriented, and reliable
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to multitask and respond well to changing needs
A servant-hearted attitude and a desire to make a difference
