Job summary

St. John LaLande School in Missouri is seeking a part-time Extended Care Aide for our before and after school program.

Shifts run 6:30am–7:40am and/or 2:45pm–5:30pm, up to 20 hours weekly. Experience in an early childhood setting is encouraged but not required.

Applicants must pass a background check, agree to the Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.

• Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building.
• Must be physically able to perform the job of a caregiver of young children.
• Be an active member of a faith community and model the teachings of Jesus.

Responsibilities

• The aide positions require that individuals care for the physical, social, and emotional needs of the young child while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Work under the direction of the Principal.
• Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents and children, while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others
• Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building.
• Must be physically able to perform the job of a caregiver of young children.
• Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus
