Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, seeks an Expressive Therapist for Behavioral Health Acute Care on a part-time, PRN basis. The role focuses on planning and delivering Recreation, Music, Art and/or Dance and Movement Therapy to enhance development and daily living skills, within a hospital setting.

The position requires college-level training in Recreation, Music, Art, or Drama Therapy, current certification or registry, and ability to lead sessions with strong verbal and written

Formación

• Must have completed college program with a major in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or Drama Therapy.
• Must have current certification or registry in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy or obtain required certification within 6 months of hire to maintain employment.
• Verbal communication skills required to lead Expressive Therapy.
• Written communication skills required to complete required documentation.
• Possess, or obtain within 60 days, RQI certification, and maintain current certification as a requirement for continued employment.
• Must obtain CBMT training within 90 days of hire and maintain training during employment.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement Recreation, Music, Art and/or Dance and Movement Therapy interventions to enhance development and daily living skills.
• Lead expressive therapy sessions with verbal and written documentation as required.
• May supervise Expressive Therapy students independently with limited supervision.
