Job summary

University Health seeks an Expressive Therapist for Behavioral Health at Western Missouri Mental Health in Kansas City, MO. This part-time position (3 days per week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) supports Recreation, Music, Art and Drama Therapy to enhance physical, cognitive, social and affective development and daily living skills.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing expressive therapy interventions and may supervise therapy students with limited oversight.

Qualifications

• Graduation with a major in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or Drama Therapy.
• Must hold current certification or registry in the respective therapy area or obtain within 6 months.
• Possess or obtain CBMT/RQI certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Recreation, Music, Art and/or Drama Therapy interventions.
• Lead expressive therapy activities to support development and daily living skills.
• May supervise expressive therapy students with limited supervision.
