Job summary

Community Support Services in Akron, OH is seeking an Expressive Arts Administrator to lead art therapy within Intensive Treatment Services, Day Treatment, and substance use programs. The role includes coordinating an annual Art of Recovery event with the Marketing and Development team, while supervising interns and staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Art Therapy with 3–5 years of experience working with severe mental illness; ATR/LISW/LPCC licensure

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Art Therapy, or related field.
• Three to five years of experience working with persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Current State motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Registered Art Therapist (ATR), LISW, or LPCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate therapeutic groups that integrate art therapy interventions and address clinical needs.
• Provide individual counseling and art therapy services within scope of practice.
• Complete assessments to determine suitability for Art Therapy programming.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate services.
