Minimum Salary/Hourly Rate: $15.00
Maximum Salary/Hourly Rate: $40.00

ARTS HOLDING HANDS AND HEARTS, INC

Arts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH) www.ahhah.org, a 501c3 non-profit, is looking for trauma-informed teaching artists to facilitate workshops with youth who are incarcerated in Chester County and facilitate after-school workshops in Coatesville, Kennett Square, Phoenixville, and Oxford.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Co-facilitate expressive arts workshops with youth who are incarcerated in Chester County. Most workshops are 90 minutes long.
  • Facilitate 60 to 90-minute after-school expressive arts workshops in Chester County High Schools.
  • Write lesson plans incorporating AHHAH methodology (format will be provided along with training of methodology).
  • Write follow-up reports after each workshop.
  • Keep attendance on a spreadsheet.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a given arts field (theatre, poetry, visual arts, music, dance, etc.), and/or degree in social work, psychology, or education.
  • Trauma-informed training.
  • Mindfulness-based stress reduction training.
  • Security clearances and background checks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and create safe spaces.
  • Experience working with youth impacted by trauma and poverty.

Must have a car and be available to work in Chester County, specifically in Coatesville, Kennett Square, West Chester, Oxford, and/or Phoenixville.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
