Job summary

McDonald Nissan in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking a full-time automotive service technician who can perform repairs and maintenance per dealership standards. You will test-drive vehicles, diagnose system issues, and communicate progress with the Service Advisor to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Dexterity requiring steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate diagnostic equipment.

• Teamplayer who collaborates well with others.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as per repair orders, to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed work.
• Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs.

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide an accurate estimate of time needed for additional repairs
