Job summary

Lee Johnson Auto Family, a family-owned auto group, is hiring an Express Technician for our Kia store. The role involves performing routine maintenance and basic repairs to meet dealer and factory standards, and communicating recommendations to the service advisor.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver license, basic mechanical understanding, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver license and the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles.
• Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles is required.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with focus on exemplary customer service.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and license verification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as assigned per dealer and factory standards.
• Conduct oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, bulb and wiper blade changes.
• Complete vehicle maintenance inspections including tires, brakes, and fluids.
• Communicate maintenance recommendations to service advisor and assist with vehicle cleanliness.

The express technician will perform vehicle maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.Perform minor maintenance, e.g., changing oil and filters, rotating tires, replacing cabin or air filters, replacing bulbs and changing wiper blades.Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspection including tires, brakes and fluid levels.Communicate appropriate customer vehicle maintenance recommendations to the service advisor.Ensures customers vehicle is kept clean.Coordinate routine maintenance and cleaning of courtesy vehicle.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications needed:

• Valid WA state drivers license.
• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
• A team player who is focused on exemplary customer service.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and valid driver license.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
