Job summary

Honda of Concord, part of Hendrick Automotive Group, is hiring an Express Technician. This full-time role includes paid training, a clear path for advancement, and the support of a leading automotive group.

No prior dealership experience required; if you're mechanically inclined and dependable, this is a strong place to start your career. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with performance pay plans and bonuses, plus opportunities to advance into higher-level technician roles.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills — interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform express lube services including oil and filter changes and fluid top-offs.
• Check and refill batteries, tires, windshield fluid, transmission and power steering fluids.
• Report necessary repairs to the service advisor.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and free of residue before return to customer.
• Record all hours accurately in the timekeeping system.
• Participate in required training and follow safety protocols.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform express lube services including oil and filter changes, joint lubrication, and fluid top-offs.
• Check and refill battery, tire pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant.
• Report necessary repairs to the service advisor.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints before return to customer.
• Install completed LOF reminder sticker in each vehicle.
• Verify fluid levels prior to vehicle release.
• Maintain CSI scores at or above company standards.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
• Participate in required training and follow all safety protocols.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong communication skills — able to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based primarily in the service area and involves movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Regular interaction with service advisors and the service manager.
